The
trastrasera
The
trastrasera
is
original
of
Chiloé,
nevertheless
it
is
believed
that
the
muleteers
brought
it
of
the
Argentine
zone
remaining
in
Chile.
The
letter
of
the
singing
is
the
one
that
is
indicating
the
figures
that
must
be
realized.
It
is
possible
to
dance
in
pair(couple)
or
in
big
groups,
his(her,your)
step
is
simple
and
before
the
music
starts
sounding,
the
dancers
enter
to
the
dancing
floor
taken
of
the
hand.
The
man
advances
forward
and
the
lady
walks
behind
as
if
it(he,she)
had
shame.
When
they
come
to
his(her,your)
positions
they
place
abreast
and
she(it)
takes
his(her,your)
skirt
with
both
hands
and
he(it)
moves
his(her,your)
arms
to
the
compass
of
the
music.
The
step
is
effected(carried
out)
in
the
position(place)
and
simulates
the
trot.
Three
steps
of
trot
are
marked,
with
a
time
for
every
step.
When
one
counts
the
fourth
time
the
knee
gets
up
to
repeat
three
trots
and
to
raise
the
opposite
knee.
With
this
step
all
the
movements
are
effected(carried
out)
and
you
appear
while
the
dance
lasts.
The
typical
wardrobe
of
this
dance
is
representative
of
Chiloé's
zone
where
the
climate
is
cold
and
rainy.
They
take
a
dark
skirt
and
a
jacket
of
color,
in
his(her,your)
head
they
take
tied
a
handkerchief(scarf)
knotting
under
the
mentón.
In
addition
thick(bulky)
dark
averages
and
closed
shoes
use.
He(It)
uses
dark
trousers,
shirt,
boots
or
rubber-soled
slippers,
with
thick(bulky)
white
socks
on
the
trousers
and,
on
his(her,your)
head
it(he,she)
takes
a
cap
